Ted Uchacz is a Metal Artist/ Sculptor from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan who began his journey with clay and metal in 2000. He often combines his love of the two mediums, fusing clay and metal to create one of a kind pieces. Ted’s sculptures can be described as dynamic and distinctive.
Ted’s work explores two distinct paths. On one hand, his work is a celebration of nature and the life forms and structures within it. From microscopic organisms to complex plants and animals, Ted has a fondness for the natural world. However, Ted is also influenced by dark and surreal art and he enjoys producing pieces that generate a dialogue about the world we live in.
His metal work is made from recycled metal. Ted enjoys taking something that has been discarded and forgotten and giving it new life.
