Born and raised in Regina, Debbie Lee has always had an interest in creating fine craft objects.
While working full-time at her Government job of 35 years, she also pursued her passion for making jewelry and selling it at craft shows part time.
Upon retiring, she has developed this passion into a full-time career.
Starting in 2010, Debbie Lee received specialized training in metalsmithing, including stone setting, fabrication techniques and soldering, making sterling silver her main focus as it is both affordable and fun to work with. She also incorporates 14k gold filled components to contrast with the silver to create jewelry that is personal and distinctive.
As a lover of jewelry and appreciating its beauty and wear-ability, Debbie sees endless design possibilities that develop and change every year, keeping it fresh and alive. Her customers love jewelry and it brings Debbie great joy providing that special piece that has been designed just for them. She believes that there must be a strong connection between the jewelry and the customer.
Debbie is influenced by nature – leaves and branches and their line and shape. She is also informed by current fashion styles exploring what speaks to her. She loves the interaction and feedback from her customers, who inspire her to transform her vision into new jewelry ideas. Debbie completes custom orders designing special jewelry objects for her clientele, she also reassembles customer’s vintage pieces to make them into something new and wearable with today’s current trends.

Debbie Lee Jewellery Designs is for every day wear, casual, yet elegant.
Debbie Lee markets her work in Juried Shows throughout the year and also showcases her jewelry in select Gallery Gift Shops in Saskatchewan.
Debbie Lee believes, “if you can find your passion in your work, then everyday becomes a new adventure.”
Gold-Filled Jewelry – Debbie Lee Jewellery Designs
What is Gold-Filled? Gold-filled is a layered gold product that is gaining popularity. It is a quality material that is common in all types of jewelry. The product is easy to care for and will usually maintain its golden shine for a lifetime. Gold-Filled generally lasts much longer than most electroplate jewelry when looking for a wallet-friendly alternative to solid 14k gold.
Gold-filled is constructed in a way that bonds gold to one or both surfaces of the base. The core metal is jewelers’ brass. A gold alloy is then bonded to one or both surfaces of the base. Gold-filled is legally required to contain 5% or 1/20 gold by weight. This 5% is then described by the karat age of the gold alloy. My Gold-filled pieces are 14kt gold-filled. 14kt Gold-filled products are identified as 14/20 Gold-filled; alternatively, 14kt Gold-Filled is also acceptable.
CARE AND CLEANING
Gold-filled does not de-laminate or peel like gold plated or “dipped” products. Nor does it tarnish as readily as silver. Many customers find that they never have to clean gold-filled items at all. However, from time to time your jewelry may become dirty from everyday wear. To clean gold filled it is best to use mild soap and water. Hot weather and water will not damage the material.
Beware of some companies selling gold plated jewelry as “gold-filled” – it is not the same thing! Generally speaking, gold filled is better quality and will have a much longer lasting color than plated jewelry.
