“Just a Matter of Time”
“Just a Matter of Time” is a Fine Art Image from Yvette Moore’s Collection. It depicts a young boy and his faithful dog watching his father swath the fields before the combine will make its rounds. Harvest is always just a matter of time until the work is completed.

“Across the Slough”
In North America, “slough” may refer to a side-channel from or feeding a river, or an inlet or natural channel only sporadically filled with water. Sloughs are ecologically important as they are a part of an endangered environment; our wetlands.
It was a common scene around any farmland or even close to a farm yard. But it’s not a term heard often as sloughs are disappearing as they are being turned to cultivated land.
“Across the Slough” can have two meanings in this scene: the fresh falling snow shows the tracks left behind across the slough or the view across the slough to the hills beyond.

“As Days Go By”
As days go by, we know that no matter what the sun will set and it doesn’t matter what is in front of it as it disappears below the horizon. In this painting, the grandeur of the grain elevators that graced every small town in Saskatchewan stands in unity with the sky and land. It’s a scene that is disappearing as we lose these icons. So as the days go by, the sun will remain forever but not the elevators.

“Above and Beyond”
Looking from above, the view goes on and on from the fields of grain way beyond to the rolling hills in the distance. The sky presents itself with all those colours that the prairies are so famous for. Dotted in the middle are the remains of an abandoned farm, yet the buildings seem to be standing just as straight as ever.

50YM01 – Metal Dog
Jim Nodge is a first and last generation farmer from the Craik area. His art has evolved from his inability to part with much of his busted farm machinery and a desire to spend time in the welding shop without doing any actual work.
With the welder, he has managed to combine old tools, farm parts, and various bits of junk metal together to build his creatures: big and small.
The Ultimate Goal: Clean the place up; make some money; and most of all, to make people smile.
Metal Dogs are very heavy and shipping is not advised. Delivery to campuses is available.
