Road Hockey

It was the same story every winter. If you couldn’t find them at home, they were out on the street – playing hockey.  The road became the hockey rink and out came the hockey nets, sticks and pucks or balls. In this case: my son, Tyler and his friends, Troy, Jarrad, Kyle, and Keith were giving it all they could in their friendly match.

This particular road or street is from Yvette’s hometown of Radville, but to every hockey player the place doesn’t matter.  Young boys and grown men alike have their own special stories to tell about the many hours they’ve played their own game of road hockey.

Description

Special Feature: “It’s been a full day – the boys have all gone home except for the goalie.  He’s come in to warm up – a small pile of his belongings lays neatly on the floor – awaiting to go home.”  As a tribute to all hockey players whose beginnings have started on the road or streets, a full colour remarque reproduction has been printed in the bottom left corner.
