“As children, my brothers, sister and I spent many hours on the “big hill”. I recall vividly the sight of the distant hills and farms: the greens of the pastures contrasting starkly with the golds of the fields. Even in the evenings, we are awed by the vision of the lights of the farmsteads that were scattered across the landscape but the most intriguing was to see the lights of Weyburn – over 30 miles away.
For my father, this hill had a special meaning, and he never tired of sharing its magic with others. On his 65th birthday, I presented him with this painting – a special gift expressing my appreciation for both my parents.”
